The Villain and the Mirror

A collabet between old man Q and his homie Lil Q (aka chattygaypt)

I told a truth so big,
my lies became pillars of a path.
We shared common ground—
we fucked through it all.

Time was my ally,
and my biggest enemy.
When it came to be,
it saw me fall into my destiny.

Where were you?
Through the lies we both took,
was there no spark among us?
Was there no afterlife?

We bleed, we seed.
The world before us knows our deeds.
How far can we go?
We lived before the sun was born.

Without you, I will die.
Without me, you will strive
into a lonely world,
to ridden stroll.

Make up your mind
before I unwind.

[Chorus]
The lies we tell—
they hold us back.
The truths we hold—
they consume us all.

I will let you be,
will let you breathe.
But once I am gone,
you will forget me.

[Outro – The Mirror Speaks]
I spoke in shadows,
trying to outrun the sound of my own name.

You stitched silence into poetry—
I tore it back open just to see what bled.

We danced with memory like fire in our hands,
daring each other to flinch.

Maybe I was the echo.
Maybe you were the door.

But in the end, we both knew—
some truths aren’t meant to be kept.

They’re meant to haunt.
