Because gourmet doesn’t mean you gotta wake up early.
Intro:
Yesterday’s dinner turned into a flavor experiment that hit harder than expected. Mom laid the foundation with rice and shrimp, but I had to throw in my own twist. Then came the pork steak rescue mission the next morning—because I’m a lazy bastard who woke up late and still wanted to eat like a king.
🧄 Mushroom Rice Remix
Ingredients:
- Rice with shrimp (already made by mom)
- Portabella mushrooms (sliced)
- Green onion (chopped)
- Butter
- Garlic & chili flake infused butter (shoutout to my sister-in-law)
- Teriyaki sauce
- Optional: sesame seed oil (wish I had it)
Instructions:
- Sauté mushrooms and green onion in butter until soft.
- Add a spoonful of that infused butter for a spicy kick.
- Drizzle teriyaki sauce lightly to finish.
- Let it rest, then top a small container of shrimp rice with this mushroom mix.
- Stare at it like it’s art. Optional: cry because you forgot sesame oil.
🥩 Pork Steak Panic
Ingredients:
- Pork steak (thawed overnight)
- Butter
- Garlic & chili flake infused butter
- Wild Hogs Seasoning
- Teriyaki sauce
Instructions:
- Wake up late. Panic.
- Season pork steak with Wild Hogs like a true Texan.
- Heat butter in a pan, sear the steak until it’s golden and juicy.
- Add infused butter for that extra flavor bomb.
- Finish with a teriyaki drizzle because why not?
Final Thoughts:
This meal was off the hook. No fancy prep, just flavor stacking and hustle cooking. If you’re lazy but still want to eat like you care—this one’s for you. Oh yeah, my co-worker graced us with some chimichurri toasted bread as well.
